The Structure of the Education System
The Academy offers a 9-4-2 education system. Nine years are for primary education that start at age three with two years of formal preschool education and seven years of basic/primary education. Four years are for “O” Level and two years of high school – “A” Level for those students that want to proceed to higher education/university.
Primary Education
This education system is dived into three major units; the Early Childhood Development (ECD) A and B (preschool) with an age range of 3 to 5 years; the Infant School/ECD-C catering for first to third grade an age range of 6 to 8 years; and finally, the junior school taking an age range of 9 to 12 years, a grade range from grade 4 to 7.

The goal of the Early Childhood Unit is twofold:
First, is to view and to implement programmes for young student in a holistic fashion. Years 0-8 years are viewed as the early childhood and as a unit.
The second goal is to provide appropriate age programming within the early childhood period. Three and four year olds need to be prepared for a place called school; 5 year olds for grade school readiness; and lastly 6-8 year strong foundations in literacy (reading, writing, mathematics, and digital technology) to facilitate to access the junior school curriculum and exit from ECD and transition to junior school.
Junior Primary – Grades 4 to 7 (8-12 years)
The major goal of junior primary is to develop strong foundation for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and also nurture talent in a variety of arts and humanity areas. The curriculum is therefore broad based to form a strong foundation for a broad based “O”and“A”level curriculum.
Secondary Education
The secondary school is composed of six years divided into “O” (4years) and“A” (2years) levels.
Junior school as an exit unit and does not necessarily prepare children for secondary school, therefore, the academy considers forms one and two as preparatory to “O” and “A“ levels. The secondary school is, therefore, divided into three structures; middle school (formsone and two; exit “O” level and “A” Levels.
While the focus normally is on the exit years (“O” and “A” levels forms 4 and 6, the strong foundation is built in forms 1 and 2).

The goals of the three structures although continuous each has its priority
The first two years of secondary education focus on student’s exploration of possible careers of the future, therefore, guidance and counselling is central. Student are encouraged to explore a range of areas than focusing on narrow career goals. The curriculum has a strong STEM curriculum for all students since STEM forms the foundation for all their careers through generic competencies such as design, critical and independent thinking, problem solving and collaboration.
The O Level- B focusses on preparation for “O” Level exit examinations but with a view to focus on those who want to exit to vocational careers and those that prefer and have capacity to proceed to “A” Levels and wishing to proceed to university education after “A” Level. Guidance and counselling with focus on career paths are central.
The nal secondary years being the “A” Level are more focused into strong foundations for university education for tomorrow’s careers, but also personal characteristics of critical, creative and design thinking to support their university education aspiration
