The Grandmaster Academy herein referred to as the Academy is a competitive private institution offering world class education for primary and secondary education. It was founded on Seventh Day Adventist principles, practices and Christian values. It is managed and run under a Board of Trustees as the Responsible Authority and an Executive Board providing direction for the school. The Academy runs a mixed day and boarding school.

The boarding school covers students from grade 4 with exceptions to students of diaspora parents and guardians who may request boarding places for levels and grades below grade four.

The Academy offers a unique 21st century model and approach to learning referred to as the Learning Zone Design (LZD) model. The model offers student great opportunities to learn, create and innovate for themselves compared to the traditional transmission model where teachers are the dominant forces in the classroom.

The philosophy behind the LZD is that it is the student who has come to the Academy to develop knowledge skills, competencies and attitudes for their growth and development, therefore, it is them that should be engaged in learning and not the adults around them.
